Vattudalens Fisk achieves ASC certification for its operations in Storuman

On 7 August 2026, Vattudalens Fisk AB had its Kaskeluokt and Luspholmen sites in Storuman Municipality certified to ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council). The sites are part of the operations in Storuman Municipality, which together are covered by the company’s largest permit. The certification is an important step towards a stable, long-term supply of Swedish-farmed, ASC-certified rainbow trout for Swedish consumers.

ASC is an international standard for responsible aquaculture. Its requirements cover, among other things, environmental impact, protection of the surrounding aquatic environment, fish health and fish welfare, responsible use of feed ingredients, social responsibility and traceability.

Our combined operations in Storuman are a significant part of our production. Having Kaskeluokt and Luspholmen ASC certified strengthens our ability to offer Swedish, ASC-certified rainbow trout on the Swedish market, stably and over the long term.

Vattudalens Fisk works across the entire production chain, from roe and fry to finished product. This makes it possible to work systematically with fish health, feed, growth, traceability and resource use throughout production. Together with the previously certified Lurö, Linjeviken and Postviken sites, Vattudalens Fisk now has five ASC-certified sites.
