Vattudalens Fisk AB · Strömsund, Jämtland
We farm rainbow trout and Arctic char in cold, clean lakes from southern Småland to Västerbotten. The entire chain is Swedish, with our own broodstock, our own hatchery and our own on-growing.
Vattudalens Fisk
Vattudalens Fisk was founded in 2009 in Strömsund Municipality by three co-owners, with one farm in Ströms Vattudal. Today we are a group with sites in several counties and control over the entire production chain: we strip roe from our own Swedish broodstock, hatch it and raise the fish all the way to finished raw material.
This lets us manage fish health, feed, growth and traceability at every stage, and deliver Swedish fish all year round.
The entire chain in Sweden
Eggs are stripped from our own Swedish broodfish.
The eggs are hatched and the fry grow up at our own facilities.
The juveniles are moved to open net pens in cold, nutrient-poor lakes and grow slowly over two to three seasons.
The fish are harvested and processed within the group, including at Överumans and part-owned Guldhaven.
The group
Since 2022 the group has grown through acquisitions. Each company keeps its name and its local roots.
