Vattudalens Fisk acquires Bårtnans Fjällvattenfisk
Bårtnans Fjällvattenfisk in Jämtland becomes a wholly owned subsidiary. The award-winning, traditional processing in Bårtnan will be preserved.
On 14 February 2022, Vattudalens Fisk AB acquired all shares in Bårtnans Fjällvattenfisk AB, which thereby becomes a wholly owned subsidiary.
We want to invest in local artisan food in Jämtland and welcome Bårtnans Fjällvattenfisk to the group. The aim is to preserve the award-winning, traditional craft of fish processing in Bårtnan. We have known the company for a long time and see great potential for continued local products made from Swedish fish.
Bårtnans Fjällvattenfisk is a family business that has been run on a small scale and locally for almost 40 years. There, Swedish fish is processed according to old tradition using modern technology. The fish has won several medals at the Swedish Championships in artisan food and is sold by retailers in the county and in the company’s own farm shop in Bårtnan.
